Kenneth MacAlpin

ManRulerEarly

A king when Picts and Gaels began to join.

Kenneth MacAlpin was a king of the Gaels in the west.

In the 840s he also became king of the Picts.

After him, the two peoples slowly became one kingdom.

That kingdom grew into Scotland.

We are not sure how the Picts and the Gaels became one kingdom.
